▲China Association of Automobile Manufacturers（CAAM）released the survey on the performance of automobile and motorcycle industry in January of 2017. Output and sales of automobile in January reached 2,369,000 units and 2,520,000 units respectively, output dropping by 3.9% while sales increasing by 0.2% compared with last year. Output and sales of motorcycle in January reached 1,238,000 units and 1,317,000 units respectively, dropping by 15.4% and 11.3% respectively compared with last year.
 
▲According to the General Administration of Customs of China, NR and SR (including latex) imports for January 2017 reached 510,000 tons, an increase of 11.8% compared with 460,000 tons of last year. The import value increased by 63.1% compared with last year. The growth of import value is significantly higher than that of import amount, which indicates that rubber price in the world market has apparently risen. Up to the mid-January, rubber inventory in Qingdao Free Trade Port Zone is 121,800 tons, including 91,100 tons of NR, 4,500 tons of compound rubber, and 26,200 tons of SR. 
 
▲National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has released the survey on the performance of chemical industry for 2016. The value added for chemical industry during 2016 increased by 7.6% compared with last year, but the growth rate dropped by 1.7%. Of the major products manufactured, there were 5,460,000 tons of synthetic rubber, an increase of 8.9%; 45,360,000 tons of synthetic fiber, an increase of 3.5%; and 946,980,000 units of rubber tires, an increase of 8.6%.
 
▲According to the Ministry of Transport of China, the anticipated passenger capacity of nationwide highway reached 15,625,000,000 units, decreasing by 3.5% compared with last year; the anticipated passenger turnover reached 1,029,479,000,000 units per kilometer, decreasing by 4.2% compared with last year; the anticipated volume of freight traffic reached 33,634,000,000 tons, increasing by 6.8% compared to last year; anticipated turnover of freight traffic reached 6,121,098,000,000 tons per kilometer, increasing 5.6% by compared with last year.

▲According to China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA), its members in 2016 manufactured 2,456,800 tons of synthetic rubber, an increase of 9.3% compared with last year.

▲The export value of new inflatable rubber tires was 47.6 billion RMB in Shandong in 2016, increasing by 4.6% compared with last year. The imported value of natural rubber (including latex) was 9.71 billion RMB, decreasing by 23.9% compared with last year; the imported value of synthetic rubber (including latex) was 8.34 billion RMB, increasing by 62.3% compared with last year.
