▲According to the General Administration of Customs of China, NR and SR (including latex) imports for May 2017 reached 550,000 tons. NR and SR (including latex) imports from January to May reached 2,900,000 tons, increasing by 27.7% compared with 2,270,000 tons of last year. The import value increased by 100.9% compared with last year. International rubber market prices are on the rise. Up to 31st May, rubber inventory in Qingdao Free Trade Port Zone reached 276,000 tons, including 215,900 tons of NR, 55,800 tons of SR, and 4,300 tons of compound rubber. 
 
▲China Association of Automobile Manufacturers（CAAM）released the survey on the performance of automobile industry in May 2017. Output and sales of automobile in May reached 2,087,000 units and 2,096,000 units respectively. Output and sales of automobile from January to May reached 11,358,000 units and 11,182,000 units.
 
▲National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has released the survey on the performance of chemical industry for April 2017. The value added for chemical industry during April increased by 4.1% compared with last year, but the growth rate dropped by 5.4%. Of the major products manufactured the output of SR increased by 4.1%, synthetic fiber increased by 1%, and rubber tires increased by 4.7%. From January to April, the value added for chemical industry increased by 5.2%, but the growth rate dropped by 3.8%. The output of SR reached 1,800,000 tons, increased by 10%; synthetic fiber reached 14,810,000 tons, increased by 5.5%; rubber tires reached 307,450,000 tons, increased by 10.1%.
 
▲In April 2017, the production of SR in China reached 454,000 tons, increasing by 4.1% compared with last year. The accumulated production from January to April reached 1,796,000 tons, increasing by 10% compared with last year.

▲The production of tires in Shandong Province in China reached 37,673,000 units, decreasing by 1.2% compared with last year. Tire production of Shandong province accounts for 46% of national tire production. The production of radial tires reached 29,588,000 units, decreasing by 2.7% compared with last year, accounting for 51.2% of national radial tires production. The accumulated production of tires from January to April in 2017 reached 144,403,000 units, increasing by 7% compared with last year, it accounts for 47% for national tire production. Among them, accumulated production of all-steel radial tires reached 115,136,000 units, increasing by 7.7% compared with last year; it accounts for 50.1% of national all-steel radial tires production.
